World of Warcraft on consoles?

So recently there seems to be alot of clamoring to get more MMO’s on consoles.  But should we ask ourselves should MMO’s even be on consoles.  Lets take world of warcraft where you can literally bind dozens of commands to different keys.  There are more number keys on a keyboard then there are on the entire xbox 360 controller.  Could a good MMO outside of a FPS be made for a console using a keypad?  Unless you used sub menu’s it seems it would be very difficult to create any customizable MMO that could be played on a console.
Blizzard released a statement today saying they would not be releasing WoW on consoles period.   They did however admit that they had been considering making an MMO for console for sometime however it would not be WoW.   You can read the statement from Blizzard here.
So what do you guys think?  Do you think MMO’s belong on consoles?   If so why?  If not, why not?

I think it can be made to work for certain MMO’s, Guild wars for instace I think could work due to there only being about 8 ability commands and the rest is just movement and communication commands, but WOW.…No way, I dont play WOW but Ive seen the game and yea, there are just way too many commands to use a controller, Now it could work for the PS3 I think with the keyboard you can buy for it and if microsoft made a full sized keyboard then yea, but that would be the only way I think withouth dumbing down the game severely. Now it has been done of course. For instance battle for middle earth II was decent on the 360, I played it and it wasnt bad for console but still much better on PC same goes for Halo Wars, it was ok but they should make a PC version. Bottom line I think is that while it can work to an extent, its just that, an extent, I dont think it will ever fully work until we get more games like End War with voice command tech.
