MW2 Resurgence DLC $15… Again…

You would think after the whole ordeal involving Activision’s last mappack that they would of have learned to at least try to not to want to scam their customers out of a ton of money.   You, however, would be wrong.  Activision’s latest DLC will not only be $15 dollars but it will follow the exact same deal as the last one.  It will have three new maps and two old ones.
The new map pack will contain the following new maps:
Vacant: Which is a Russian Office Complex from CoD4

Strike:  Is a urban town surrounded by hotels.  Another map from COD4

Carnival: Which is an abandoned carnival area.  It has a ferris wheel, funhouse and other random attractions.

Fuel: A “sniper haven” based in and around an oil refinery.

Trailer Park: Close combat

The DLC is slated to be released on June 3, and like the previous map pack it will be released for the Xbox for some time before it is released for it’s PS3 and PC counterparts.  We’re sure that many will flock to this obvious money grab and shell out another 1200 Microsoft Points or $15.
On a personal note it’s obvious that Activision is going to milk the cash cow on this game until it has milked dry.  With the release of just one more map pack at this price Activision will have effectively charged consumers for 2 full games with none of the developments costs on the second.

… again… screwing the consumer of hard earned money. I know from experience that making maps does not take that long. Especially not with the streamlined software they are using. At the cost of 15 dollers per map pack they have almost charged consumers for two games and skipped almost all of the dev costs. This type of “double dipping” just puts me on the edge.

My god, why people pay for that game let alone play it is beyond me. You will have a better experience flushing your money down the toilet then playing it.
Also why would people want to support activision who are clearly screwing their own customers, when will people wake up and stop throwing money away just because it has the COD title.

how this game is still gettin any kind of recognition on this site is beyond me. seriously stay away from the shitty games. I still play cod4 and cod2 but mw2 was a waste. still say it would have been a great expansion or update to cod4 if they left the dedicated servers in and just added more maps made it prettier and added more weapons with more options. dun wit tis bs game. uninstalled k thx

Why does every one hate on this game so much, yea i realize it has its problems but so do other games. This game frustrates the hell out of me but i still play because its still fun from time to time. And every time a here people bitching about the $15 price tag on the map pack i feel like slapping a freaking cat…who cares if its like 5 dollars more then a regular map pack. The maps that it brings are fun as hell…its something called consumer satisfaction, if something is fun there going to make it cost a little more ‑_- stop bitching a play the games thats all i have to say.…

There is nothign wrong with MW2 in itself which i think is a ok game. The problem that I have with the game is how they stripped everything away from it that the PC gaming community gave to it and then turned it into a pure cash cow. Ten years ago you could get all your maps for free now we have to pay 15 dollars per set with no options for custom maps? Thats the bullshit. I personally love the single player campaign but its’ crazy short ringing in at only 6 hours which is pretty weak.
