Bungie brings out the banhammer…

Last night Bungie posted on their forums that they were banning people for exploiting credits. If you have seen any Lt. Col. a week after it’s release, they are not legit or they are and they have less of a life than this editor. The way these people were doing it is in the video below.
WARNING! Do not use this video as a guide to get credits, you will get banned and stripped of everything. DO NOT USE!

The exploit disrupts the connection and allows you to do a challenge 20+ times in order to gain more credits. Bungie is in the process of handing out over 15,000 bans, this process starting last night. This is what it includes according to Bungies forum post.
“We are in the process of applying credit resets to approximately 15,000 users who we have identified as the most egregious Challenge Reset abusers.
A one day credit earning ban has also been applied, mostly to ensure that recipients receive an in-game notification of the action taken.
As with any such measure, we have taken the time to carefully select our criteria to eliminate false positives.”
Bungie is bringing the hammer hard with this in place and hopefully more game dev’s follow suit. Gears of War had a problem with breaking connections and Epic never followed it up and it continued to break the game more than it already was out of the box. On the forum and comments posts that I have read people seem to agree with Bungie, except for the ones that think they are innocent in the wake of their banishment. Cheaters will never win and the system will bring you down. Games are a challenge, they are here as a form of story telling and enjoyment, if you can’t play fair like the rest of us, daddy Bungie will come and take your toys away. If you got banned and are mad at Bungie for your lack of judgement then you can go return Reach and go wait under Mother Koticks mouth for the regurgitation know as Call of Duty:Black ops.

funny how people will put more effort into trying to cheat the game than playing legit!
I guess that’s the american way anymore get to the top first and screw everybody on the way

What did they think was going to happen? Really? You find a way to cheat the system then you tell everyone and post a video on youtube showing how to do it.…stupid move. Kudos to Bungie for pulling out the ol’ Banhammer on this one
