Battlefield 3 Beta Starts Today and Costs How Much?

By now everyone knows that the beta for the upcoming release Battlefiled 3 is now available for everyone to play on PC, Xbox and PS3.  I decided to first download it on my Xbox and went to the dashboard to download it when I run into the picture above.  I was mildly shocked when I was told it was going to cost me 429,496,795 Xbox 360 points.  That comes to a grand total, at $19.99 for 1600 points of $5,360,025.58 dollars.  I don’t know, that seems a bit pricey, especially for a beta.  But you know, we are in a recession, gotta do what it takes to make ends meet.  We all know EA is hurting for money these days.
In all seriousness it will not cost anything to play the beta but you will have to pay for the full game.  The beta release will feature feature 2 maps on the PC and 1 map for the Xbox 360 and PS3 players (sorry guys).  It also features a good number of weapons which are all unlockable.
For those of you who got early access and have already formed some opinions please let us know your thoughts.  What did you think?  Did it hold up to expectations?  Were you underwhelmed?  Let us know!

got to love XBL and EA they’re so silly it is most likely a glitch that will get or is already fixed…
now as for the XB version first thing.…IT’S A “BETA”!! although I’m thinking it’s more like an alpha release because of the many graphical glitches I’ve been seeing since Tuesday, and Tuesday I was able to join by myself at times though it would bomb alot when loading the match but by midnight or so that was fixed. Now gameplay is all Battlefield! massive amounts of weapon unlocks you level really fast and the map layout is really well done ranging from open combat to close quarters making for a great battle if both teams are aggressively fighting/defending.
Now if your use to BFBC2 this is allot different in that when you unlock a weapon you must unlock the attachments for each weapon as well also the assault and support classes have be changed up having new roles as well and the biggest thing people may have an issue with is that you are no longer a bullet sponge! 1 to 2 hits and your looking at a kill cam so a more strategic play style would be a good idea…all in all the gameplay is damn good graphics are buggy as hell but then again the mantra to chant to yourself is BETA!
