Bulletstorm Didn’t Make Any Money… and Thats Ok

Appar­ent­ly Epic’s newest AAA release did­n’t make any mon­ey for Epic, accord­ing to Mike Capps, pres­i­dent of Epic Games .   Despite it’s crit­i­cal suc­cess, 82% aver­age for PC  and 84% for con­soles, Bul­let­storm cre­ate any rev­enue for Epic.  Bul­let­storm sold less then 300,000 units across all plat­forms dur­ing the first 3 months of it’s release.    EA was quot­ed say­ing “It’ under per­formed”.  Regard­less of it’s fail­ure to sell  Epic’s Pres­i­dent said that he does­n’t regret devlop­ing Bul­let­storm, and they are ok with the fact that the game did­n’t make them any mon­ey.  Bul­let­storm was devel­oped by Peo­ple Can Fly (cre­ators of Painkiller).  Epic’s pres­i­dent will be giv­ing a speech at GDC in europe next month called “Size Does­n’t Mat­ter:  How Epic Brings AAA Atti­tude to Every Game, from Gears of War 3 to Infin­i­ty Blade”.  Accord­ing to Kotaku they want to holdRead more…
